A-ha!

I figured out what kind of bird it is!

A Green Heron.  So cool.

And, we have a red-winged black bird who is protecting his territory against a huge crow around our pond.  It's crazy - he's a quarter the size of the crow and keep pecking at him and chasing him away.  Which is fine with me.  I don't like the crows.

Ooh! AND... I saw a what I think is a Downy Woodpecker today.  It looked like this:

I think.  It came and went fairly quickly.

Yes, it's been a while since I've posted....  Knitting has been happening, but no pics right now.  More soon I hope...
